SCHOOLHOUSE RESTORATION
In 2024, the Friends of Wesleyville Village completed the installation of electricity in the Schoolhouse and Barn—transforming them into more functional event spaces. With power now available, we can more easily host community events, rentals, and members’ gatherings.
The project, overseen by our Property Committee, was carried out by Cooper Electric, who installed underground cables, control panels, wiring, and outlets. The Schoolhouse and Barn are leased by FOWV from Ontario Power Generation (OPG), and the installation costs were covered through a leaseholder allowance.
Adding a final touch of heritage charm, supporter Lisa Beatty generously donated period-appropriate globes, helping the buildings warmly welcome guests to evening events. Previous work to restore masonry, fascia, and soffits was completed by Brandon Bliss Construction.
