Country-Market_Tile_2024.jpg

Join us in the village on Sunday, June 1st, 2025 from 10 am to 4 pm for our annual outdoor Country Market and Nature Fest! Browse local crafts, plants, baking and collectibles, or enjoy a peaceful spring stroll through the nature trail. This year's market will once again feature a baking auction, with baked goods made by our own local celebrities. Take part in the fun by bidding on your favourite entry! It’s a lively day of food, fun, and local flavour, perfect for kicking off summer at Wesleyville Village.

2025 Outdoor Pop-Up Music Series

Wednesday evenings, June 18th through July 30th, from 6:30 to 7:45 pm

Rediscover the simple joy of summer evenings spent outdoors with friends, enjoying live music in the open air. Bring a lawn chair and settle in front of the schoolhouse for an evening of music from a variety of genres — perfect for singing along, tapping your feet, or catching up with neighbours.

These free, family-friendly concerts are open to all — come by for a song or stay for the whole evening! Bring your own chair, refreshments, and bug spray. Please dress according to the weather: the event will move indoors in case of rain. The music is free, but donations are welcome.

Step Around Wesleyville Weekends in July and August 2025

Take a leisurely stroll through Wesleyville Village every Saturday and Sunday, from 10 am to 4 pm this summer. Bring your grandkids, meet a friend, or stop by to learn more about the heritage of this unique rural village. Volunteers are often on hand to share stories and answer questions, or help you explore the historic buildings and peaceful natural setting. No registration required, just drop in.

Please note that the Y-House, located centrally on the property, functions as a private residence and is not open to the public. Building tours are dependent on a guide being present, so stop in at the reception area located on the east side of the Y-House (next to the lane) to check for availability.

Members' Appreciation Event

Early fall 2025, date TBD

Member-Appreciation-2024_Tile_2024.jpg

Our first members' appreciation event in 2024 was a success, and we're looking forward to hosting it again in 2025! Our annual members and supporters are the backbone of our organization, helping to ensure that Wesleyville Village remains open and thriving for generations to come, and that's worth celebrating! In 2024 we hosted members and supporters in the schoolhouse for a first-peek — and taste — as we launched Generations of Flavour,  a book of recipes from families who have resided in the Wesleyville area for generations. It was a fun and social way to thank our close-knit community for their continued support.

Stay tuned for information about our 2025 members' event!

A ROUND-UP OF COMPLETED 2025 EVENTS

Annual Easter Egg Hunt & Games

April 19, 2025

Easter_Tile_2025.jpg

Sunshine, fresh air, and a dash of old-fashioned fun… the Wesleyville way.

This year’s Easter celebration reminded us how powerful simple joys can be: an egg-and-spoon race, pin-the-tail on the bunny, giant bubbles, and a walk along the nature trail brought families together and sparked community connections. Thanks to everyone who came out and made the most of a beautiful spring day with us!

The Friends of Wesleyville Village was founded on the lands of the Michi Saagig Anishinaabeg traditional territory covered by the Williams Treaties, specifically the Gunshot Treaty signed by the Mississauga First Nations of Alderville, Curve Lake, Hiawatha and Scugog Island. We express gratitude towards the Indigenous peoples who have and will continue to steward these lands and waters. We pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging. We dedicate ourselves to moving forward in the spirit of partnership, collaboration, and reconciliation, as we contemplate the possibilities that lie ahead. Our commitment is to listen, learn, and establish meaningful relationships with our Indigenous sector colleagues, and take actions that advance reconciliation. We do so by recognizing the past and working towards a shared future.
