Help shape the future of Wesleyville Village
JOIN OUR VOLUNTEER FUNDRAISING TEAM
The Friends of Wesleyville Village are forming a dedicated volunteer Fundraising Committee, and we invite you to be part of this meaningful effort. We’re looking for volunteers who bring passion, experience, and community spirit to our team. Explore the available roles below, and discover how you can help ensure Wesleyville Village’s continued success.
Why we need you
Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we achieve, and our new Fundraising Committee will be pivotal to the future of Wesleyville Village. Your involvement will be instrumental in helping our organization reach ambitious goals that would otherwise remain out of reach. Whether through your ideas, connections, or passion, your efforts will directly shape and sustain the legacy and potential of our strong community.
By volunteering in this vital role, you'll join a respected team whose contributions are deeply valued, ensuring that the rich heritage and tranquil spirit of Wesleyville remain accessible for generations to come.

Why Volunteer?
As a valued volunteer on our Fundraising Committee, you'll feel the quiet pride that comes from knowing your actions have created lasting, positive change. There is a deep satisfaction in seeing your contributions take root—whether it's witnessing the completion of a restoration project, seeing a new program come to life, or knowing visitors have made a connection with Wesleyville’s unique heritage. By investing your time and talent, you'll find purpose in strengthening the bonds of community, leaving a legacy you can proudly call your own.

What to expect as a committee member
As part of our Fundraising Committee, volunteers should expect a regular monthly meeting of approximately 1.5 hours. These meetings will serve primarily as a space for collaborative planning, group discussion, and decision-making. Between meetings, each committee member will undertake tasks that align with their specific role. For example, this may involve brainstorming new initiatives, speaking to people in the community, or developing fundraising strategies to bring back for group discussion.
The committee is designed to operate with autonomy and creativity. You'll be encouraged to freely share new ideas, propose fresh initiatives, and build meaningful partnerships that will benefit the organization. While the committee is empowered to independently carry out fundraising activities, overall plans will be submitted to the board for oversight and approval. This helps keep everyone on the same page, avoids overloading volunteers, and makes sure fundraising efforts fit well alongside other activities in the organization.
You'll also have the support of our Community Programming Coordinator, who acts as a liaison with the board and provides assistance with records and implementation.
Your role on this committee is important and respected. By sharing our expectations, we hope you'll feel confident, inspired, and excited about the meaningful impact you'll have.
The application process
Applying to join the Fundraising Committee is very simple. Fill out our Google form, where you can tell us about yourself, your interests, and any relevant experience. There’s one form for all committee roles, and you’re welcome to express interest in more than one role if you'd like.
