Thank you to all who contributed to a memorable Keynote BBQ!

The Friends of Wesleyville Village is so thankful for this wonderful and generous community who came together on Saturday to make the Keynote BBQ a success.

Many hands made light work for set-up, tear down, and cooking, and despite a difficult season, many local businesses donated prizes, food, and drink.

The event began with a jovial serenading by Lloyd Johnson and Warren Tait. A total of 54 tickets were sold, and including board members, volunteers and staff, 62 people came together to eat a lovely, summery meal and listen to Katie Power's uplifting music. A door prize draw and raffle draw saw 11 prizes distributed among lucky winners!

Over $2000.00 was raised in support of the mission of the Friends of Wesleyville Village! Thank you again to all who attended, volunteered, and donated to this memorable and heartwarming event.

Wesleyville Heritage Village is situated on the Michi Saagig Anishinaabeg traditional territory covered by the Williams Treaties, specifically the Gunshot Treaty signed by the Mississauga First Nations of Alderville, Curve Lake, Hiawatha and Scugog Island. We express gratitude towards the Indigenous peoples who have and will continue to steward these lands and waters. We pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging. We dedicate ourselves to moving forward in the spirit of partnership, collaboration, and reconciliation, as we contemplate the possibilities that lie ahead. Our commitment is to listen, learn, and establish meaningful relationships with our Indigenous sector colleagues, and take actions that advance reconciliation. We do so by recognizing the past and working towards a shared future.
