Celebrating History, Nature, and You!

Our annual members, volunteers, and supporters are the backbone of our organization, helping to ensure that Wesleyville Village remains open and thriving for generations to come, and that's worth celebrating!

Our supporters gathered on October 18th for a first look at our new QR-code enabled signage — a tribute to the stories of the past and to the generosity that keeps them alive today. As the first guests to stroll the newly marked trail, they enjoyed stories from village history, light refreshments, and a heartfelt moment of recognition for their valued support.

We invite everyone to drop by the village and find the 10 new QR signs placed throughout the property. It's a new way to learn about what makes Wesleyville Heritage Village so special!

Wesleyville Heritage Village is situated on the Michi Saagig Anishinaabeg traditional territory covered by the Williams Treaties, specifically the Gunshot Treaty signed by the Mississauga First Nations of Alderville, Curve Lake, Hiawatha and Scugog Island. We express gratitude towards the Indigenous peoples who have and will continue to steward these lands and waters. We pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging. We dedicate ourselves to moving forward in the spirit of partnership, collaboration, and reconciliation, as we contemplate the possibilities that lie ahead. Our commitment is to listen, learn, and establish meaningful relationships with our Indigenous sector colleagues, and take actions that advance reconciliation. We do so by recognizing the past and working towards a shared future.
