Restoration Progress Update

  • Dec 5, 2025
  • 1 min read

If you’ve been by Wesleyville Village recently, you may have noticed the newly restored windows now in place at the church. Henderson Construction completed the installation of these beauties, and it is truly wonderful to see the light streaming through once again!

This marks a huge step forward since the 2021 fire. With visible signs of progress (like the windows) and the interior work beginning over the winter, we are getting ever closer to the moment when the church can once again open its doors. None of this would be possible without the incredible support of our community.

As this next phase moves forward, we invite you to help us keep the momentum going with a donation, time, or expertise. Every contribution brings us closer to welcoming the public back into this treasured space.

Wesleyville Heritage Village is situated on the Michi Saagig Anishinaabeg traditional territory covered by the Williams Treaties, specifically the Gunshot Treaty signed by the Mississauga First Nations of Alderville, Curve Lake, Hiawatha and Scugog Island. We express gratitude towards the Indigenous peoples who have and will continue to steward these lands and waters. We pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging. We dedicate ourselves to moving forward in the spirit of partnership, collaboration, and reconciliation, as we contemplate the possibilities that lie ahead. Our commitment is to listen, learn, and establish meaningful relationships with our Indigenous sector colleagues, and take actions that advance reconciliation. We do so by recognizing the past and working towards a shared future.
